Six rules to make people like you

1.Become genuinely interested in other people. 
If you become genuinely interested in other people you will be welcome at any place. I strongly agree with this quote by Dale Carnegie because when I meet new people, I have a strong interest and curiosity in learning more about them. You would make more friends in month of being interested in people than in a year of someone being interested in you. The only way to make quality, lasting friendships is to learn to be genuinely interested in them and their interests. Being interested in new people is opening yourself new doors because everyone is different,so you get to know many different things that you have never learned.During that you can gain a really good friendship that  brings you a lot of benefits to."You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.”I will apply this new rule to my life by being more open to other people,being more interested in other people instead of my trying to get them interested in me.

2.Smile
Smiling is contagious. So even if you aren't happy and someone smiles at you, you have to be pretty pessimistic to not smile back. And if you are happy and you smile at someone, then you can be pretty sure that they will smile back at you. It is critical that you are able to smile even when you don't feel like it if you want people to like you. You don't have to have a smile on your face always but make sure you're approachable. You may know someone who smiles all the time or a lot and chances are you enjoy seeing or talking to them. That is the impact of a smile. Which is why everyone should smile.If the whole world would smile everyday,the world would be a much better place because no one would be with time to have a sad expression on their face."The greatest self is a peaceful smile, that always sees the world smiling back."I will apply this new rule to my life by smiling more so that I can have better days and getting other people to smile to.

3.Remember Names
Remembering someone's names is very important,if you get to know someone you really are thankful to know,you need to remember their name.Remembering someone's name is a proof to them that you really remember them or you paid attention to the time when you knew each other.If you remember names, you will sooner start making impact on people as they will see you as the person that always greets them by their name.You will get a better friend relationship with that person,and the trust between both of you will increase do to the interest you gave in the other person."Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names."I will apply this new rule to my life by trying to remember everyone's name to bond a stronger friend relationship.

4.Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
It is important to listen to others because you need to pay attention to them and what they are saying.When you pay attention to someone they feel more confident in talking with you because they will notice that you pay attention to them.Some people don't listen or pay attention to others and that makes them lose confidence in talking to you because they will notice that you don't pay attention to them or get easily distracted while having a conversation.Being a good listener can help people to be more open in talking to others because they will get confidence in talking and expressing themselves with other people.This can bring a higher self esteem to many people,they will enjoy talking to more people and knowing new persons.If you listen you can be the person people have an ear to always hear their ramblings which is something everyone needs in life."Being a good listener is absolutely critical to being a good leader; you have to listen to the people who are on the front line".I will apply this new rule to my life by listening more people and really pay attention to them and not making me see as if I were paying attention but thinking in something else.

5. Talk in terms of the other man's interest.
When talking to someone else,you need to talk not only about things about yourself but also about the other person's topics.If you talk with someone of what he or she likes,you will get to know more about that person.You can also gain knowledge about new things and topics you discuss with different people.See what others like and have a conversation about that. It shows manners and makes you look intelligent because of the level of interest you have.If you never talk about others interest then later they become the same as you and just talk about themselves. Having an ability like that will help in the long run. It will make people want to talk to you, because you are very rational.When you about others interest you can get ideas from others and make your own idea. This will make a very successful person with a lot of knowledge."The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life."I will apply this new way to my life by being more into interests other people may have,I should be willing to see every one's own interests.


6.Make the other person feel important--and do it sincerely.

The final rule to make people like you is presented here. The rule is to make other people feel important and do it sincerely. I agree with this method of making people like you because it is done sincerely. If you do anything sincerely you will do it well. Doing things with sincerity makes people think you are driven and motivated. It is important that you think of it in such a way. Making someone feel important is the key to having them enjoy your company which is what you want. You want someone to feel important. You cannot do this without being sincere. Basketball Coach John Wooden said "Making someone feel important is the key to their heart." I wholesomely agree with this statement as this is what this rule is about. Making someone feel important. So In conclusion you must be able to be sincere to make someone feel important.

Reflection:These six new rules that I learned in this class have giving me a new perspective of things.It showed me many ways to have a good conversation with other people and to make the other person feel important.Each rule show how to make more people like you,this means that the people you interact with will have a good impact and will try to be more like you.Making the other person more important and confident while talking to you.It is very important to always listen to the other person even though you don't like the topic because you can always learn new things from different people.It is important to apply these rules in your life to make more people like you.It is genuinely interesting that these simple, yet complicated rules can make people like you. It is not hard to apply them and use them but it is hard to have the heart to attempt to application them into your social life. It would be great if you can just apply these life rules without a hitch but there is effort you must put forward towards it. Which is immensely true in this scenario. That is why I think it is important to follow these 6 ways of making people like you, it will help you later in life.
